The Final Book of Harry Potter
This past Friday, February 1st saw a flurry of activity in the book industry as the announcement was made for the release date of the final Harry Potter book. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Year 7 will be published and available for purchase at 12:01am on Saturday, July 21st. There is tremendous speculation about the book’s conclusion of the Harry Potter series, including endless rumors about one or two of the main characters that might be killed in the Deathly Hallows.
Of the Harry Potter series, which has sold 325 million copies to date, the seventh and final book has already skyrocketed to the top of the bestseller list on the Powell’s Books, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble websites.
If you hear other stories or tidbits about what readers or independent booksellers are doing in anticipation of the final Harry Potter, please let me know. I love such festivity and celebration around a book.

I'm looking forward to reading the last Harry Potter book! They've been wonderful distractions and quick 2 day reads for me.
And someday.... I can imagine reading them to my kids (or at least to my nieces and nephews) and experiencing them all over again!
